IV nutrients

Clinician-administered intravenous nutrient support, prescribed where testing shows you need it.

Confirmed at your assessment

What it is

IV nutrients are clinician-administered intravenous and injectable nutrient therapies, given at Skinfresh by Dr Frances Pitsilis and her nurses. A common option is an intravenous vitamin C infusion combined with magnesium and B vitamins, delivered over about an hour while you relax. These therapies are used as supportive nutrient care where assessment and testing indicate a need, not as a treatment for long-term chronic conditions.

Who it suits

People wanting nutrient support around specific situations such as before or after surgery, long-haul travel, acute illness or periods of significant stress. New clients are assessed by one of the clinic's nurses first.

Benefits and results

  • Nutrients delivered directly, prescribed where testing shows a need
  • Administered by a doctor and nurses in a clinic setting
  • Can often be arranged alongside another clinic treatment

What to expect

New clients begin with a one-hour nurse consultation, including a health questionnaire and blood tests, so your suitability for nutrient support can be assessed. Where appropriate, treatment can be given at the same visit. An infusion takes around an hour.

Common questions

Can IV nutrients treat a chronic health condition?+

No. These therapies are supportive and are not intended to relieve long-term chronic conditions. If that is your concern, a medical consultation with Dr Frances Pitsilis is likely to be more appropriate.

Do I need testing first?+

Yes. New clients have a nurse consultation with a health questionnaire and blood tests so that any nutrient support is based on your assessed needs.
