Privacy Policy

Skinfresh Clinic (“we”, “us”) is a doctor-led cosmetic and skin clinic at 2A Dodson Ave, Milford, Auckland 0620. This policy explains how we handle your personal information, on this website and in the clinic, under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Because we provide health services, health information we hold is also protected by the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.

• Bookings: your name, email address, phone number and the appointment details you choose.
• Enquiries: when you send an enquiry from this website, your name, phone number, email address, anything you write in the message, and which page you sent it from. We use it to answer you, usually by phone.
• Intake forms: the health information you provide before an appointment, such as relevant history, medications and allergies.
• Clinical records: notes, assessments and any images taken as part of your care at the clinic.
• Newsletter: your email address (and first name where you give it) when you subscribe.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. Card details never reach Skinfresh; we hold only the booking amount, its status and Stripe's payment reference.
• Website analytics: see “Cookies and analytics” below.

We use this information to provide safe, appropriate care: to manage bookings, deposits and reminders; to assess treatment suitability; to keep the clinical records we are required to keep; to send the newsletter you asked for; and to understand how the website is used so we can improve it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not publish patient information or endorsements.

The site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure how pages are used (pages visited, approximate location, device type) and, with Google Ads, to measure whether our advertising works. These tools set cookies. Our own analytics events are deliberately anonymous: they never contain your name, email address, phone number or search text.

You can opt out by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser, using Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website works without these cookies.

We use reputable service providers to run the website and clinic systems. They process your information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside New Zealand (including Australia and the United States) under their own security and privacy safeguards:

• Supabase: our secure database (bookings, intake forms, content).
• Stripe: payment processing.
• Resend: booking emails and the newsletter.
• Google: analytics, advertising measurement and our business listing.
• Google Preferred Sources: a button on our home page, loaded from Google, that lets you choose Skinfresh as a preferred source in your own Google search results. Loading the button means Google receives the usual details of your visit to that page. If you use it, you do so in a Google window under your own Google account, and we are not told who you are.

Access to clinical information within the clinic is limited to the team involved in your care.

Health information is kept for at least 10 years from your last visit, as the Health (Retention of Health Information) Regulations 1996 require. Booking and payment records are kept as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe; unsubscribing stops all newsletter sends immediately, while appointment emails about bookings you make are unaffected.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact the clinic and we will respond within 20 working days. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact the clinic first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
