What it is

Profhilo and Sunekos are injectable bio-remodellers based on hyaluronic acid. Unlike a dermal filler, which adds volume to one area, Profhilo disperses evenly through the skin to deeply hydrate it and support the skin's own collagen and elastin. Sunekos adds a patented blend of amino acids and hyaluronic acid to work alongside the skin's natural physiology. The result is smoother, firmer, more hydrated skin with a natural glow.

Profhilo Structura, the newest member of the Profhilo family, is also available at Skinfresh. Where classic Profhilo works within the skin itself, Structura is placed deeper to support the structure of the lower face, where the supporting fat layer thins with age. It uses the same highly purified hyaluronic acid and is typically given as two sessions about a month apart. Your nurse can advise whether classic Profhilo, Structura or a combination suits you.

Sunekos is a slightly different treatment from the two Profhilo products, and is given as a course of three sessions, one every two weeks.

What to expect

A pre-treatment consultation comes first, then a small number of precise injection points are treated, taking around 10 minutes for the face and 15 for the neck. Aftercare is similar to a dermal filler. For best results the skin is usually treated twice, about a month apart, with results lasting several months.

Profhilo is made from ultra-pure, heat-stabilised hyaluronic acid and has a well-established safety record internationally.
