What it is
Limelight is the name of the Cutera intense pulsed light (IPL) system used at Skinfresh. This technology is at the top of its field when it comes to safety and accuracy. The light is drawn to the reds and browns in the skin, targeting brown spots, diffuse redness, fine facial veins and sun damage while stimulating collagen. Every pulse is computer controlled and the light spectrum is tailored to your skin type. For lighter skin types, combining Limelight IPL with Laser Genesis and vascular treatment as the Photofacial gives a more powerful result in a single session.

What to expect
As each pulse of light is delivered you may feel a light flicking sensation, eased by cooling gel and a chilled handpiece. Anaesthesia is usually not needed. A session takes under an hour; brown spots darken then flake away over 7 to 10 days, and any redness or mild swelling settles within a day or two.
Cost
An Advanced Nurse Skin and Aesthetic Analysis may be needed beforehand ($75, including computerised VISIA skin analysis) is redeemable on your first treatment.

Does it hurt?+
Most people feel only a light flicking sensation. The cooling gel and chilled handpiece keep it comfortable, and pain relief is available if needed.
How soon will I see results?+
Good results are usually seen within about three weeks, once the darkened spots have flaked away.
