What it is
truSculpt ID is a non-surgical body contouring treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency energy to gently heat and target pockets of stubborn fat beneath the skin. It is designed to reduce the appearance of localised fat in areas that resist diet and exercise, and can help firm the overlying skin at the same time. There are no needles, no freezing and no downtime.
Who it suits
Suited to people near their ideal weight who have stubborn fat under the chin or on the body that has not responded to diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss treatment. Those with pacemakers, implanted metallic or electronic devices, epilepsy, cancerous lesions or recent surgery are not suitable, and any hormonal or metabolic factors can be reviewed with Dr Frances first.

What to expect
A handpiece or paddles deliver controlled radiofrequency energy while the skin temperature is continuously monitored for comfort and safety. Treating one to three areas takes only 15 minutes. You can return to normal activities straight away, with the treated area feeling warm for a few hours, and results typically develop over about 12 weeks.
