What Does it Involve?

Although there is an initial response in the first few days due to penile engorgement, the ultimate healing response will be seen in 2 months. Top up treatments can be given every few months if needed.

This treatment involves the following:

  • Numbing cream is applied to the penis
  • Two teaspoons of blood are drawn
  • Your own activated Platelet Rich Plasma is produced, full of growth factors
  • Your PRP is injected into the penis using a tiny needle into the numbed penis
  • Your own platelets are distributed into your penis and release their multiple growth factors to stimulate a healing response.

Results

Results associated with the P-Shot procedure may include a general rejuvenation of the penis. It improves the blood vessels (microcirculation) and tissues of the penis.

The penis may, in some, grow in girth and length with time, as well as become firmer during erections.

There may be an improvement in penile sensation and sensitivity, erectile firmness, quality and stamina and orgasmic quality.

P-Shot® FAQ's

How does the procedure work?

Platelet Rich Plasma contains growth factors that stimulate healing, tissues and improvement of the penile blood vessels. Local tissue stem cells are activated to rejuvenate and restore the tissues too.

What is the usual response to the P-Shot® injection?

The initial increase in volume is due to the volume of PRP and any volume of growth factors and associated water.

Over the next few days, some of the water is absorbed by the body. Then there is a growth of new penile tissue over the next few weeks. Results are variable for every individual.

How many treatments do I need?

One treatment and you will repeat this same treatment in a few months for a boost.

How effective is it?

Over 90% of men have an immediate and then a long-lasting result. Around 20% notice an increase in girth and length.

How much growth can I expect?

In some, up to 20% increase in length and girth. Girth first, then length with continued growth. It is not yet known if a second injection at 4-8 weeks will cause another growth spurt.

Where are the injections placed?

Directly into the corpus cavernosum (along the side of the numbed penis). Also into the numbed head of the penis.

Is there a risk of scar tissue forming?

The risk is virtually non-existent. There has been no scar tissue seen with injections of PRP to the face.

Can I react to this injection?

No. PRP has been used for decades in dentistry, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal treatments and it has never been found that a person has reacted to their own cells within the PRP.

Does the P-Shot hurt?

The procedure is quite brief, and the penis is numbed with cream. It's a very small needle. Any discomfort is very minimal.

If you are nervous about the procedure, we can easily perform it under mild oral sedation +/- a gas with virtually no discomfort.
