Platelet Rich Plasma Component

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) was used medically before it was introduced to aesthetic treatments. Platelets are the cells in our blood that help in the healing process. When we injure a part of the body, the platelets automatically migrate to the site of injury, initiating a healing response by releasing numerous growth factors and other proteins which promote healing. There is strong medical research information supporting its use in human tissues.

This treatment is  also used for the following:

  • Tennis elbow, wrist and shoulder tendonitis
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries
  • Non-healing wounds
  • Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip and other tissues
  • Shoulder joint inflammation and pain
  • Achilles tendonitis or partial tears
  • Wound healing, scar reduction

What's Involved?

This is a very popular treatment because our clients can see the results within a few days. It can be repeated a few times until optimal results are obtained and then a maintenance treatment is given every few months.

This treatment involves the following:

  • Your blood is taken and placed in a centrifuge to separate out the plasma rich with platelets ( PRP)
  • PRP is collected into a sterile syringe
  • The skin is prepared using an antiseptic agent
  • The PRP filled syringe is then administered into the skin in a special way along with Hyaluronic acid.
